Halloween Kids Activities Around Pompano Beach for the Whole Family

Seasonal celebrations and kids activities make memories that last a lifetime. When you only have so many years for holiday events with young children, taking the time for celebrations is even more important. While fall looks a little different here in Pompano Beach, you’ll still find plenty of kids activities that are fun for the whole family this Halloween season. Here’s what’s going on in Pompano Beach this October.
Kids Activities in Fall In Pompano Beach
Getting out of the house with young kids is essential, giving them fresh air, memories, and a chance to run out as much energy as they can. This year, plan a Halloween weekend that’s fun for the whole family.
Start With Halloween Brunch At Galuppi’s
Halloween doesn’t only start after sunset. Attending a Halloween brunch event gets your day started right, especially if you have younger children who aren’t ready for late nights just yet. Enjoy good food, entertainment, and trick-or-treating in a safe, friendly space.
The Galuppi’s Spooktacular Halloween brunch takes place on Saturday, October 31st, kicking off at 9 am and ending at 1 pm. This is an event for all the family, and young children can have fun and run out their energy before it gets too late in the day.
- All You Can Eat Brunch: Brunch is one of our favorite meals at Galuppi’s, and we’ve organized a special all-you-can-eat service for our Spooktacular event. We’ve combined traditional breakfast and lunch foods in a buffet-style service, so you and the kids can eat to your heart’s content to stay fueled for activities. Experience true South Floridian hospitality and dining culture.
- Live DJ Entertainment and Dance Party: There’s no party without music. We’ll keep the tunes playing throughout the morning’s activities, hosting dance parties and interactive numbers to get kids on the dance floor. We’ll play kid-friendly classics that both you and your family will love. Your kids can show off their costumes on the dance floor, and we’ll host dance games that encourage all kids to take part.
- Sweet Treats: Brunch may be savory, but it wouldn’t be Halloween without sweet treats. Enjoy popcorn, cotton candy, and snow cones with the whole family.
- Bounce House: If you ask the kids, the bounce house is a highlight of Galuppi’s Spooktacular brunch. Kids can jump out some of their energy, and it’s a great place to have fun with new friends. The relaxed itinerary of the Spooktacular Halloween brunch means that your kids can move between the bounce house and other Halloween activities and tables, giving them freedom to choose activities they want to explore in a safe environment.
- Halloween Craft Table: Sitting down for some arts and crafts gives you something memorable to take home from the event, adding to your family’s memories of the holiday. This is also a great place to take a rest from the more energetic parts of the Halloween event.
- Trick or Treat Station: Trick or treating is a staple Halloween event, but for very young kids, it may be too soon to head out onto the streets in the evening. We have a dedicated trick or treat station set up so your kids can experience the magic of the season as a daytime activity.
- Photo Ops: Photos are essential to creating lasting memories. We have plenty of photo opportunities for you to take photos of your child and as a family. You can level up your costume with face painting, so make sure to take pictures throughout the morning as you enjoy the event.
- Movie On The Big Screen: Getting into the Halloween spirit is easy with classic seasonal films. We’ll play Halloween films on the big screen, so if you need a break from all the excitement, sit back, relax, and enjoy the movie with some popcorn and snacks.
Head to Pompano Beach Pier
After a busy but entertaining morning, head down to Pompano Beach Pier to enjoy the weather. Take a walk along the beachfront, dip your feet in the water, or just soak up the city and waterside views from the pier itself. This is a great way to get kids to settle down after a fun-packed morning brunch, and it’s a nice breath of fresh air for parents and older kids too. If you pack too many themed activities into your weekend, you’re going to lose momentum fast.
Visit Local Attractions
Pompano Beach has fantastic local attractions that keep the family entertained. Whether you’re a local or you’re just visiting for the weekend, enjoy some nature at nearby Coconut Creek. Just a short drive from Galuppi’s and the Pompano Beach Pier is Butterfly World, which is home to over 20,000 butterflies and other species. This is a great alternative to outdoor walks if the weather is acting up, as the exhibit features enclosed spaces protected from the rain.
We also recommend visiting local weekend markets. Keep an eye out for Pompano Beach’s popular Green Market, which runs on the second and fourth Saturday of every month November through April. Find fresh produce, baked goods, and kids’ activities– something for everyone to enjoy.
Dress For The Occasion
Dressing up is part of Halloween’s charm. We strongly encourage costumes or themed clothing, letting you enjoy more photo opportunities and memory-making with your family. Dressing up for seasonal holidays can also be a fun family tradition. Throughout the year, Galuppi’s runs several kids’ events and brunches. We run Christmas parties, superhero events, character brunches, and more that your family is sure to love.
Kids Activities Year Round At Galuppi’s
We have something for the whole family at Galuppi’s. Join us for our Polar Express or Frozen character brunches over the Christmas season, where your kids can meet and have photos with Elsa and other characters. Live performances are standard at all of our character events, providing kids with activities that are interactive, entertaining, and engaging. We can’t wait to spend the holidays with you and your family, creating memories that last a lifetime.
