Basic Function

Ability to handle a high volume high intensity environment.
Organizes setup and oversees dining area during scheduled dining hours. This includes but is not limited to the inside lounge, outside patio and dining/banquet room.

Responsibilities:

Properly checking out each staff member. Steward and bus people must supervised while breaking down and resetting the appropriate rooms.
Monitors and approves time for dining room staff members
Organizes meal work crew and ensures that the dining area is properly stocked, staffed for each meal and sees that meal times are strictly adhered to.
Organizes breakdown and cleanup following each meal and at the end of course.
Checks supply levels to be certain that all food items for any and all function are adequately stocked.
Supervises and coordinates all dining unit workers throughout the scheduled meal to promote the best possible service and use of staff time.
Work with internal and external vendors (ex. cost negotiations)
Schedule full-time and part-time staff.
Ensure proper procedures are followed: sanitation and dress code.
Fill out accident reports, evaluation, verbal & written warnings.

Required Skills

Minimum 4 years experience in Restaurant Management
Knowledge of Word, Excel, and Outlook
Ability to work with sensitive issues and maintain a high level of confidentiality
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
